How can I get my band in the Powerslave.com
band database?
Please use our automated Online Band Signup feature to submit your information to Powerslave.com. Please note, you will need a valid Username in order to complete this process.
Online Band Signup
Because
we focus on just the California Underground Metal Scene,
your band will have to have it's origins within this state.
To be included in our growing effort, the following items are REQUIRED and will be submitted when you complete the Online Band Signup process:
- A logo (which can be uploaded to us as a .jpg or .gif file).
- A full band biography. Usually this is not individual biographies
of each member of the band, but rather a band biography. If you
don't know what this means, take a look at some of the bands listed
in Powerslave.com for plenty of examples.
- Contact Information such as phone numbers, addresses, e-mails,
and anything else you would want to list for your fans and other
bands to contact you.
The following items are OPTIONAL:
How do I update my band's Profile?
My Powerslave.com now allows listed bands the self-service option
of updating their individual profile pages. Contact email addresses
on band profiles are now automatically synched up with user profiles
so band representatives can edit their profile without the aid of Powerslave.com
staff. Existing bands will be automatically connected to the editing
function on My Powerslave.com (MyPS) if one of their members' email addresses
match up with a current user profile. New bands will be given a temporary
user profile and password when they are added to Powerslave.com's
band database. Bands who do not have current access to their profiles
should contact info@powerslave.com
and email us "your email address" you registered with MyPS. If you have not registered with MyPS,
you can register at
http://my.powerslave.com/myps.php.
Please note that you should not email an mp3 but instead email us
a location to grab it online. If you'd like one created from a CD
you've mailed in, please let us know.
How do I get our shows listed in the Schedule?
We have created a Show Submission
Form that will list your shows in the Schedule, band profiles
for the Powerslave.com bands involved, and in the profile for the
venue putting on the show. You can submit new shows as well as update
current listings using this form. A link to the form is provided on
every page in the site in the Site Tools.
How do I submit news for the News page and our band profile?
News for your profile and the News page can be submitted using our
Contact Form. News is updated at approximately
midnight, Sunday through Thursday.
I'm trying to form a band. Can you help me find interested musicians?
We have a forum on our Community Message Boards called Musicians Looking For Musicians.
It's been known to help out those looking for another band member as well as those starting new bands.
Register and post a message as you may find what you're looking for there.
How long has Powerslave.com been around?
We officially opened our "virtual" doors on July 31st, 1999 and
have been going strong ever since.
How do you determine which shows to review?
We only attend and review shows with at least one Powerslave.com
listed band performing and oftentimes look for shows with more than
one band from the Powerslave.com database. However, we are constantly
trying to seek out new bands to see perform as our goal is to review
every band from Powerslave.com at least twice. So if you are listed
in Powerslave.com and we have not seen you perform yet, it will only
be a matter of time before we attend a show.
Do I have to give a song away for free in MP3 format?
Of course not. However, something to consider: when a fan reads
your profile or reads a review of your music, the first thought in
their brain is automatically going to be, "What does this band sound
like?" Because of this, we offer a song for readers to download to
complete the media experience of reading about a band, learning, and
listening to a band's music.
How do I get Powerslave.com to sponsor my show?
Powerslave.com selectively offers sponsorship and promotional support to shows supporting the Northern
California underground metal scene. Sponsored shows are booked and produced by independent promoters,
venues and/or bands. If you're interested in soliciting Powerslave.com for show promotion or sponsorship,
please email info@powerslave.com. Note: We will not be able to fulfill all sponsorship requests.
How do I get my band on a Powerslave.com Presents show?
Powerslave.com produces a limited number of its "Presents" series per year. These shows are booked
and produced by the Powerslave.com event staff and only include bands involved in the Northern California
underground metal scene, preferably listed on Powerslave.com. If you are interested in having your band
considered for inclusion in a Powerslave.com Presents show, please email info@powerslave.com with your information.
If your band is listed in our database, there is no need to send a promo pack or any CDs. Note: Because these are
periodic events, not all bands will be included in Powerslave.com Presents shows. However, bands that show proactive
interest have a better chance of being selected for the events.
I'm interested in partnering with Powerslave.com. What do I have to do?

to further spread its mission into the right eyes and ears in the
music industry. Entertainment and technology related partners interested
in accelerating their business opportunities through exposure and

from co-exposure on show and promotion, as well as special pricing
