Amanda Allan:
Currently into her third year majoring in Comparative Literature at UC
Berkeley, Amanda Allan's musical literacy is a result of her six years of
training in classical piano and four years of training in classical
guitar. Fluent in Russian and French, she has also worked as a
literary/philosophical analyst for the Emma Goldman Papers Project and has been published in Carol Jago's Achieving Excellence in the Classroom.
Amie Althaea:
Amie has been a contributing writer for more than 10 years, having supplied biographies and reviews to various bands, and articles to a wide breadth of magazines and books. She has a bachelor of arts degree in English and has worked in the photography field full time for approximately 10 years as well. Although based in Sacramento, Amie covers shows from her region as well as East Bay. She'll most certainly pop up in other regions in the near future.
Loria Kutch:
Self-described as engineer by day, metal fan by night. With limited formal training in the fields of journalism and music, Loria "gets by mostly on raw talent and good looks." Actual credits include proofreading various documents and manuscripts for local businesses, most notably the Metro. Her dream is that the south bay will one day be filled with more all-ages venues and fierce live music, so that young and old alike can experience the freedom and aggression of the pit (though she admits a slight fear of being trampled by her own desire).
Steve Moore:
Steve Moore runs his own PR company, Steve Moore Media, which provides publicity and marketing services for bands, record labels and authors. A music fan since birth, he's sung and played bass in numerous bands since the age of 16 and attended so many concerts that the actual number has now passed into the realm of the sublimely ridiculous. In addition to his musical pursuits and liberal usage of the Secret Heavy Metal Sign, Steve serves on the board of the Northern California Book Publicity and Marketing Association. He has worked in book publishing, been a radio DJ, wrote for a newspaper, and kicked out the jams across the country.
Michelle Prodanovic
As a result of her extensive experience as a Music Market Analyst for a Bay Area media/entertainment company, Michelle worked as Project Leader to develop an additional music division. Her intense background in entertainment and the arts has led her to film and design internships, as well as acting showcases throughout California and Nevada. As the former Editor-in-Chief of Powerslave.com, Michelle handled most of the site's writing, editing, and maintenance of show schedules and band profiles.
Jihad Rabah:
Jihad Rabah is a high school senior with a very full plate, but cannot resist additional helpings of the Northern California metal scene. At 17 years old, Jihad's show attendance has to be limited, but his effort to support the scene is so relentless that fans and bands alike will often find him at venues anywhere from San Francisco to Gilroy. Teaming with Powerslave.com will allow him more opportunities to use his voice and promote the scene that he holds so dear.
