In an effort to continually offer more and better ways to connect with our loyal readers, Powerslave.com has created a Wireless Web / Mobile site that allows users to access limited features of this Web site from their portable device (such as a phone, PDA, or other WAP / WML capable device).

PS Wireless v1.0 is a WML / WAP site that offers the latest news and show schedules for up to five days in advance through a wireless device. As the United States begins to adopt the wireless capabilities as seen in other places like Japan and Europe, people will look to their mobile device for quick information. Most phones sold after late 2000 / early 2001 generally support some kind of WAP / WML site, but as the 3G movement continues to unfold, much more capability will be available.
Accessing the wireless site is actually quite easy. Point your wireless web browser (consult your phone's operating manual for specific details) and enter

The browser will display a list of three options for navigation to the different parts of the wireless site including:
- Schedule: where you can access the current day's list of shows plus up to five days in advance
- News: where you can access the latest news from the NorCal Underground Metal Scene
- About: where you can read about the current version of PS Wireless
Using the arrows on the keypad of your phone, navigate to your desired choice and click the Submit / Accept button on your phone (the actual label of this button will vary from phone to phone).

If you chose the Schedule area, you will be presented with a choice of six dates. Again, using the arrows on your phone, navigate to your desired day (listed from top to bottom in chronological order starting with either the current day or next closest day with a show scheduled) and click the Submit / Accept button. The shows for that day will display.
Every page throughout the wireless site will have Previous / Back links to take you back to where you came from.
The wireless site exists for when you need to access information from Powerslave.com and you are nowhere near a computer with an Internet connection. Since most phones these days offer some kind of wireless Web capability, this is a simple and effective way for you to see the pertinent information from the road.
While accessing this site is totally free of charge from Powerslave.com (and always will be), be sure to consult your service plan with your provider for pertinent airtime fees usability fees.
- Because the wireless site uses WML, there still may be older phone browsers that do not support WML. However, the market penetration for WML enabled phones in the USA is widespread, so this should be a small percentage of incapable browsers.
- The wireless site does not support HDML. However, if your provider has a translator (from HDML to WML), the wireless site will be accessible.
- While every effort was made to keep the file size small (in order to comply with most service providers byte allowance), some show schedule days may exceed the allowable limit and prevent displaying the page correctly.
- Because there are so many variations in devices and browsers on the market today, there may be small variations in the display from device to device.
Version 2.0 of PS Wireless will offer the following features (with more planned):
- Venue listings and details
- Push-to-call phone number listings for Venue phone numbers (meaning you will be able to dial the number of the venue with one key rather than having to dial the entire number)
- Contact Powerslave.com ability
