"Wassup Powerslavers,
I am very proud to announce a brand new feature right here on Powerslave.com, "POWERcast". Not only are we helping change the relationship you have with your radio, but we are attempting to take Powerslave to another level.
Podcasting combines the instant information exchange of blogging with audio files that can be played on a computer or MP3 player. With POWERcast, we are giving Powerslave bands yet another medium to get their music and talent out even further. Podcasting doesn't need radio signals or transmitters - just the web as a delivery system, opening up a potential audience that can and will extend to the entire planet.
I too am a local musician, and I have the same frustrations with radio and the scene that you do. With POWERcast, we are just looking to help out the scene a little more and hopefully get us all some more exposure. At the very least, it will be fun. We have a lot of plans for the show including Powerslave artist interviews (National Act's included), contests, news, and more.
I will be the shows host, and I look forward to the possibilities of where this can take us. Feedback and ideas are always welcome, and I hope you enjoy the shows.
