Listen Now Highride 0 MB Originating out of the East Bay / Richmond area, 3°Below had a long and eventful run through the NorCal Underground Scene which spanned the better half of the 1990's and into the early part of 2000. Featuring drummer / vocalist Chris Myers, guitarist / vocalist Randy Markham, and bassist / vocalist Glenn Stephenson, 3°Below produced several recordings including their last, 6, which provided some of the band's brightest material. This band's history intertwined with Unjust's and 40 Grit's as several of the members performed together in early projects.
By the time 2000 dawned, Markham had been diagnosed with a severe eye condition that was slowly spiraling into blindness and the band began to lose steam, having never really taken a break over their long career. So with one last show in San Francisco, 3°Below faded into the history books, leaving a heavy, cold, highly infectious sound in their wake.

Listen Now 2wenty1 0 MB Absent Me defies any traditional classification. Heavy, intelligent, layered, jazzy, intricate, boundless, unfinished, erotic, powerful, guttural metal-funk. Combining styles from 4 different reaches of the universe Absent Me is a unique blend of influences and completely new ideas. Brian uses a mere human throat to project a haunting mix of melody and primal scream that both energizes and unsettles an audience; Curtis plays a heavy handed 7string wall of sound with ability to produce delicate and precise textures and melodies that highlight his Degree in Composition from the University of Oregon; jOb is a rugged flemenco bass player with freeform, abstract, and unique multi-timbred hand stylings; Don is a perfectly timed explosion behind a monster Drum Kit, uncomparable by any standard and immediately idolized by drummers who witness his skills. Absent Me has just released their first officail full-lenght album entiled Hate To Wake You and will soon be heavily promoting the release.

Listen Now Chaos Incarnate 0 MB Aetheria began in the cold winter of 2000 by bassist Dennis Davis, lead guitarist Josh Burke, drummer Shaun Moffit, and rhythm guitarist Zeph. They began their hunt for the right addition of vocals and kept coming up short of a certain sound they sought. The band asked their friend Wendy to come sit in on a practice, and within the week she was singing and growling for Aetheria. Shortly afterward Maureen Rhines was added to the line up, playing symphonic masterpieces on an 88-key electric piano. They created their sound by mixing influences from old and new industrial, to Gothic metal, to black metal, to classical ambionic sounds and melodies with uses of dual technical guitars, chilling bass lines, powerful rhythms, haunting piano, and both operatic and gut wrenching wails.
In the Fall of 2001, Aetheria decided to go their seperate ways, but not before they played to audiences stretching all over Northern California, and releasing a three-song demo--everyone is currently involved in a musical side project of their own, and should be making their way back out into the scene.

Listen Now Crashed 0 MB Easily one of the more entertaining younger bands in the South Bay scene, Aftermage continually produced a simplistic, straight to the point sound that ranged from a punkier rhythm to a metal edged style. Featuring the Stanyard brothers, bassist Jonathon and guitarist Landon as well as drummer Brad Gilbert and guitarist Brian McKee, Aftermage produced one extended EP entitled 'Gore' in their lifetime which included a cover of The Misfit's 'Halloween', a major influence of this band. By the time late 2001 rolled around, Aftermage started to fall apart and Landon defected from Aftermage and landed in the metal upstarts Sora in the Fall of 2001, effectively ending Aftermage's run in the underground.

Listen Now Contain Yourself 0 MB Based in San Jose, Alien Love Syndrome ("ALS") has developed an increasingly visible presence in the local music scene. Its four members, Marcio Faria, Cameron Lazzari, Jason Hunt, and Sean McMahon introduced a variety of musical influences, infusing grunge, punk, and a psychedelic 60’s feel into their music.
In early 2001 Cameron founded Alien Love Syndrome (ALS) and hooked up with local drummer Jason Hunt who had been gigging extensively in the area. After spending some time writing and rehearsing they brought on Sean McMahon who had recently relocated from the L.A. area. After recording and performing as a three-piece for over a year the band brought on a fourth member, Marcio Faria. Marcio had previously been singing and playing guitar for local act Fastener. With their newest member in place the sound of Alien Love Syndrome was born yet again.

Listen Now Ghostrider of the Apocalypse 0 MB Avenger of Blood started out in April 2001 as a project by founder/main man Matthew Black in Illinois. It had been a long time dream and passion of his, to play music that was aggressive in the old 80's style thrash metal vein. He worked hard on writing some songs and realized he wanted to make this project become a full band. So with that in mind he recorded a 3 song/5 track demo at a studio where he was living called Real Trax Studios in August of that same year. The demo entitled "Celestial War" was sent to various zines to help get the name out. It received very good reviews and started gaining fans that had long missed this style of metal.
The main goal in recording the demo was to find a drummer with the same passion and desire musically and lyrically that he wanted to do. It took time and patience, but it payed off. In September 2002, Shannon entered Avenger of Blood with the same passions, much knowledge, and ferocious drumming. He was in Biogenesis, Tortured Conscience, and many more bands in his past.
In Oct 2002, Matthew moved to the SF Bay Area where Shannon is located. Immediately they started writing songs and going over ideas. The one thing that was missing was a bassist. A good friend of Shannon's named Mike Soria came on board in November 2002. Mike was formerly the bassist for Tortured Conscience as well as a guitarist in the bands Urn and Greater than Hatred. Due to circumstances beyond our control, Mike had to step down soon into the band. On December 18 2002, the band welcomes long time friend Vince DiMaggio to the lineup to secure the bass position. Vince was the main guy behind Urn and Greater than Hatred. With the line-up as a 3 piece for now, they are continuing to write songs and perfect ideas that have came about. With hopes to be playing live by June 2003, the guys in Avenger of Blood are very ambitious. With the whole thrash metal movement coming back from it's hibernation, Avenger of Blood will be right there with it!
