If you're having trouble bringing up Slave's Chat in your browser, the following support should be able to help you with any Java issues your browser is experiencing.
Powerslave.com's Slave's Chat is a Java applet which can be accessed with any Java 1.1 enabled browser, such as Netscape Communicator 4.08+, Internet Explorer 4+. For best experience we recommend that you upgrade to the latest browser version available.
You can download the latest versions of Internet Explorer or Netscape:
Microsoft Internet Explorer
Netscape Communicator
Some of the early Microsoft Java implementations shipped with Windows 95/98 are *not* 100% Java 1.1 compatible and may couse connection problems and lock-ups. As a solution Microsoft provides a free update for IE 4 and IE 5 users:
Upgrade your MS Java Virtual Machine
As an alternative Sun Microsystems provides a replacement for Microsoft's out-dated Java virtual machine with their new Java 2 Plug-in for Internet Explorer and Netscape 6.
Get Java Now
When the client applet fails for some reason, the browser will often display an error message that contains important information about the source of the failure. The error message is either displayed on the status bar, the Java Console or both. Slave's Chat uses the Java Console to print out debugging information as well, so look at it to get a full description of the error. Copy and paste it's contents in an email and send it to us.
To open the Java Console:
Internet Explorer: 'View -> Java Console'
Netscape Navigator: 'Navigator -> Tools -> Java Console'
To enable Internet Explorer's Java Console go to 'Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced' and scroll down to 'Microsoft VM'. Then check the 'Java console enabled' checkbox and restart IE.
