NEWS FLASH: Time Out Bar now is being booking by Supersonic Entertainment, the company that has provided quality entertainment to this bar for the past 2 years sundays through wednesdays. WHAT'S NEW: More diverse, better music! And some of your favorites! "Same Friends, Fresh Music" as we're saying. WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU: Supersonic brings over 16 years of live technical production to the table. So what I should really say is YOUR SOUND WON'T SUCK AT OUR BAR! A very limited number of well-screened and trained true sound engineering professionals work with you to make even the grungiest bands sound their best. WHY WE CARE: You, the bands, make the night for us. Without you there, we might as well close the doors. It's that simple. Supersonic Entertainment books exclusively for Time Out Bar, and doing so lets us deal closely and directly with the bar's owners, staff, and regular patrons. Sure we've got our bills to pay and need our cut, but not at your sacrifice. Did you every leave the bar after playing one night, and NOT get paid? We're putting an end to that unfair deal. Your time is valuable, and we respect that. It's about the music. The money comes later. Its a new attitude at Time Out. Some new additions to the staff and building make this friendly little bar a much better place to be at. Time Out Bar & Patio, truly Concord's finest live music venue! For booking and information: supersonic-ent@comcast.net Or just come by and see for yourself! Karaoke: Sunday and Tuesday Live Music: Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, DJ: Thursday And an all-new classic movie night begins Monday nights!

My band just played there a week ago with lowki and x-rated-porno-machine. Yeah the "sound" sucks, but as a band, you have to plan WAY ahead of time. You have to make sure you have all the power you need to amplify your band evenly. Do not rely on the sound guy. In my opinion, only vocals and kick drum ( if needed ) should go through the house p.a.. In a place that small and acustically retarded you should not rely on the sound guy. Just make sure that the dude is at his seat and not drunk off his ass ( as they usually are ). So as far as the sound goes, ( bands ) Take shit into your own hands. Don't be dependant, rely, or assume anything. The bouncers may be dicks at times but come on... That's there job. Every bouncer I know from Time Out Does their job efficiently ( and that is why we had a decient pit ). The bar tenders are nice. In my opinion, the only thing I had a problem with was ( as with every bar ) those idiot drunks that think they own the place and start fights, break shit, and disrespect as they please. But the bouncers usualy 86 the idiots the same night. So.... YEah, TIME OUT aint that bad. is it?

there is a new stage. no more fuckin pillars. granted the stage is much smaller, approximately the size of the Pine St stage, but not in a stupid, fuckin, CORNER. decent lighting now, the new stage is about 2 feet off the ground, facing left of the "pillars", the old stage area is now a sitting area. the only drawback (and it's a biggie) is there is barely any if at all staging room for equipment now. you basically have to put yer shit where the bar stock is, which is small already. bathrooms DEFINITELY need some renovation here! no lock for the mens room door? what the fuck? try to take a dump there and someone can just walk right in on you!! unless yer lucky enough to have someone at the door for you i'd stay the fuck away, god forbid how bad the ladies room is. we've played there once since the new stage, must say it's a step up from the pillar bullshit.

If you like dive bars, this is the place to go. The bartenders are ok, but don't ask for anything fancy. The sound is terrible, the pillars are annoying and the majority of the crowd that goes there are usually the same pot-smoking drunks who need to get out more. And ladies, if you're out looking for a man, this is not the place to meet them....that goes foe men looking for women too. However, they do have pretty good bands that play there which is a plus, but they really do need to fix the sound.
darkheart - 7/10/2003 8:01:17 PM
yeah, the sound and the pillars really suck. too much light for my taste. haven't had any mixed drinks from the new bartenders; the old ones sucked so i just keep it to beer when going into this place which i rarely go into anyway because of the sucky sound.
DeathDealer - 5/21/2003 5:24:43 PM
This place has its ups and downs. The bar rocks, good sound, the bartenders are hot and they know how to make a drink. The draw back: the security guard is a dick, the pillars are annoying, and did I mention the security guard is a dick?
BIGTONE68 - 4/16/2003 10:56:56 AM
I like the atmosphere of this club. Bartenders are pretty hot. I will suggest this, GET RID OF THOSE STUPID PILLARS ON THE STAGE!!!!!!!!!!! They give you the feeling of playing in a fish tank!! Get a new sound system or sound man actually both. The sound does nobody justice. That is my biggest complaint about this venue. Other than the sound and the pillars its a cool club. Tony Fletcher: Drummer extraordinare...S.O.T.N.L.
Terri,Kris,Jannine - 2/6/2003 1:07:48 PM
We had a blast at the TIME OUT! As far as we could tell,a majority of the people there were inside listening to the bands. If people are outside chatting, smoking and aren't listening to your band,it's not the venues fault...it's your bands fault.
Guest - 1/17/2003 1:54:05 PM
This venue gets pretty full at times...but for some reason the people at this bar don't know a good band from a bad one. Oh well!!!
